You vs. You is built as a local-first self-control app. The app is designed to help you choose focus windows, block selected apps or websites through Apple Screen Time APIs, track sessions, and review your own progress.
You vs. You stores app data locally on your device, including:
Custom demon photos are stored as local app files. They are not uploaded to a You vs. You server.
If you enable iCloud sync, supported app records may sync through your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. NK Design does not operate a separate backend for this sync and does not receive readable copies of your iCloud data through the app.
You can disable iCloud sync in the app settings. If iCloud setup fails, the app falls back to local storage.
You vs. You uses Apple Family Controls, Managed Settings, Device Activity, and Shield extensions only after you grant permission.
You choose which apps, categories, or websites to block. Apple provides opaque tokens for those selections. You vs. You does not receive readable app names, bundle IDs, browsing history, or the content of websites you visit.
Blocking applies only during windows you create. You can revoke Screen Time permission in iOS Settings.
Purchases are handled through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payment information. You vs. You receives product and entitlement status needed to unlock Pro features, but does not receive your payment card details.
You vs. You does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not sell personal data, and does not track you across apps or websites.
The current app build does not include a custom analytics backend. Apple may provide crash reports, diagnostics, sales, and usage metrics to developers through App Store Connect according to Apple settings and policies.
NK Design does not share app data with advertisers or data brokers. Data may be processed by Apple services used by the app, such as StoreKit, iCloud, TestFlight, App Store Connect, and Family Controls.
Deleting the app removes local app data from the device, subject to normal iOS backup and iCloud behavior. If iCloud sync is enabled, synced records may remain in your iCloud account until removed according to Apple's iCloud data controls.
You vs. You is a self-imposed focus and accountability app. It is not a parental monitoring app and is not designed to collect children's personal data.
